Principal Medical Officer at Mauritius.

and to forward the enclosed copy of a letter from Dr. W.

W. Pearse, dated the 3rd. instant.

being unable to entertain the application of Dr. Clark

forwarded in my Despatch No. 310 of the 17th. ultimo, I

have the honour to strongly recommend Dr. Pearse, who has

rendered valuable service to this Government. His record
